Karsoncookie Posted May 2, 2016 Share Posted May 2, 2016 I once, 15 yrs ago, pulled in, bought gas, and overnighted in a small truck stop type of gas station in rural Indiana. I was driving a majorly converted RV schoolbus, pulling a newly built frame up Jeep cj5 toad w less than 1000 mile BFG 35"s. I noticed, pulling through, re bar ends sticking totally out various places of the very broken concrete, thought I was ok. In the morning, walked around the rig before we left, flat tires on both pass side tires on jeep. Looked closer, sidewall punctures. "New" expensive tires. Long story short, delayed us by a day, and I had to virtually threaten in public before customers the (apparently )Pakistani owner) at the counter, to pay for this. Closest I ever came to have the cops called on me.Seriously, went controllablly "mental" to get my point across with a half dozen customers watching He finally forked over the cash for the tires, we had to drive 30 mile one way to pick them up and get replaced.
