Wolfbane
The wife tells me she has a steak to grill, I find no steak. She hands me this; I am at a loss. Hard to be certain but looks like a pork loin chop from the outer end.
jason str
Looks like country style pork. I wrap mine in foil with onion and cook it for 3 hours then add BBQ and throw it back in for 1/2 hour or so.
JL Sargent
Come on guys, thats a PORK steak. Season to taste and throw that thing on the grill high heat for about 10 minutes each side. It will be delicious!
jason str
Every time i grill pork it comes out tough. Never claimed to be a chef either.
toolz
That looks like a 2 beer pork steak. Open beer one put pork steak on grill. Drink beer, when finished with first beer flip over the pork steak. Open second beer and drink. When done drinking second beer the pork steak is finished.
Karsoncookie
It's just a very inexpensive cut of pork. If you like pork, I'tll be great any way. I would recommend (my taste) a Teriyaki Soy Sauce kinda marinade. For me, I would not care for it, but I basically don't like pork - except - Specifically baby back ribs, OR, the pork chop that is specifically the equivalent of a beef bone in Rib steak, again, marinated and sauced as above. Karsoncookie
And/ or like Pinapally, orangey like Hawwaiian sauce. Nevertheless, sweet, with sugar. My 2 cents. Lars
Wolfbane
Cook it like you would a beef blade steak. Marinade 1st. Than low and slow. Tougher cuts can taste better than prime cuts when prepared properly.

It will be delicious! Favorite cut of mine. Enough fat around those eyes to keep it moist and dark meat has more flavor than the white of the loin. I dust with garlic, rosemary and thyme. It's usually cut thin so cook it hot and fast to not dry it out.

jimjimbo
10 minutes on each side, and you'll be eating leather.... Garlic salt and pepper, medium heat, 5 mins each side max.
