Wardsweb
Hi everybody - I have a friend a few streets over in my neighborhood wanting to sell his Cornwalls (he is using Khorns now). So, to that end, I told him I would post some pictures here and see if anyone has an interest. Feel free to ask any questions. I'm pretty sure he has the original receipt, owner's information packet and warranty card. Take a look at the pictures. You will see they are not in the best shape. He felt selling them as-is would allow the buyer to refinish, reveneer or apply whatever finish to suit their taste. He would prefer local pickup or delivered within a reasonable distance of San Antonio, TX. asking $1400 Thanks for the input guys. New price $900. jimjimbo
Hi Luther, I do have a question, and please don't take this the wrong way....but have you advised your neighbor on the asking price?
AaronB123
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think most people here will agree that 1400 is a little high to be asking for those especially given there shape. I've seen La Scala's go for less than that in better shape. No disrespect intended.
Dr Morbius
I have to agree with the gent's above - I got a pair of Cornscala's in better shape for $1300.

I just posted what he said. I haven't bought or sold Cornwalls in over 10 years, so I'm out of touch. Where do you think he should be? CECAA850
I have no interest in buying these but I would think around 800-900 with those cabinets. Craigslist might get him more though. Edited May 24, 2016 by CECAA850

Woofers and Tweeters
"____________" < insert similar statement that's been made. Let your neighbor see the condition and the price of these. For newer, better sounding, better condition, better WAF and half that price, he'll be lucky to get near the $1400 he's asking. Good luck to him though. CECAA850
Luther asked the question on the open forum. No one was making an offer. No problem here that I can see in helping a fellow forum member help a neighbor appropriately price his speakers. If anyone is interested in these and wants to make an offer, PM IS the appropriate avenue.

I have not taken offense to any questions or concerns over the speaker condition. It's just that I don't know what these go for these days. I do appreciate the input and other speakers for comparison. I will share all this information with my buddy Bill to better educate him on the market. Again, thanks to all of you for your input and patience. I do not wish to upset anyone or break any forum rules; explicit or implied. CECAA850
You also might hook them up and see if the tweeters are working. The K-77's in these are prone to pop diaphragms and OEM replacements are non existent.
