jjptkd
Right now I'm pretty much stuck with a smaller bedroom system and probably will be for about another year and a half so I've been experimenting with various smaller speakers that will fit my space. I've went from Klipsch RB-81 II's to the RB-75's to the Sunfire CRS-3 Ribbon speakers to my current set up of a pair of KV-4's. All of these speakers have worked very well for TV and movies, absolutely no complaints there at all but when it comes to music each one has had it deficiencies, maybe I've just been forever spoiled by my Chorus II's? Anyway, just sealed a very sweet deal on a pair of these P-17's and can't wait for them to arrive next week!

Kalifornian
I did too! Got mine off Amazon. Also grabbed an emotiva sa-250 to power them. I'll check in here as well with updates and we can compare listening notes.

Kalifornian
They are in! No emotiva sa-250 till Friday so breaking them in on the Jolida tube amp. Clear, articulate, and clean. Bass is super tight and not boomy at all like the rf-64ii they replaced. Imaging is a work in progress haven't found the sweet spot... Moderators dtel Posted June 2, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 2, 2016 Looks good, that's not exactly cheap speaker stands. I would guess it will take a little playing with to get it right like any new speaker, good description on the sound so far.

Kalifornian
Yeah those are my 15" diy dayton audio subs. I may move them elsewhere and leave the pallidiums solo....
pzannucci
Those little cubbyholes that you have the speakers in may be enough reinforcement to remove the subs if you are not lusting after deep bass.
Kalifornian
They are sealed subs and I LOVE hard tight bass. The Palladiums are more than capable on their own but when I switch to Home Theater duties I love the extra umph. And since that pic my Emotiva SA-250 came in. The thing is a beast! It is huge!! almost didn't fit. The Palladiums sound soooooooo smooth and clean on the Emotiva. I have finally reached audio nirvana (until I move and can go back to La Scala's....)
