joshnich
I know that the answer is more than likely on the JRiver forum or in their wiki - but when I read either they are way to complicated for my computer acumen. I just need to know how do I edit the artist name. For a couple rips I mistakenly added an " or a ' or I used "The" instead of just "Beach Boys". Each of those mistakes screws up the library. It has to be easier than it appears from what I have seen or thought I was seeing on the JRiver forum. This BTW is on a windows based server which for me greatly complicates things! Thanks in advance for any councilJosh
Jbruno
On my version of JRiver, I just pull up the file list, find what you want to edit and perform it that way. I've had to do it a few times and was able to cut and paste a lot of the corrections, in the file name field it went pretty easy
Audio Flynn
I have been ripping CDs. Anyone using a MIDI device to rip vinyl to J River? What device?
Marvel
You wouldn't use MIDI, as it is a control code that interface with digital instuments (keyboards, sound modules, etc.). Ripping vinyl is time consuming... You can plug a phono preamp into a computer soundcard, an record that way, for a low budget rip. I don't knot how jriver works, but you need to record each cut (converting analog to a difital file, clean up the audio, trim the end and end up putting it into your library. I use a tascam usb device (AD converversion) with an Auudio-Technica phono pre plugged into it. There are multitudes of audio pa kages available, from free to expensive.
