BBZink
Hi, Just curious, since i have a lot of Cd, i transfer them in a huge aluminum case that contain around 800 cd's. i use to put those heavy case on top of my Belle. Recently, i put those cases down on the floor, and my Belle seems to bloom more sound whit nothing heavy on top of them? Have you experience that, does this make sense? regards Tpjrs
Grizzog
The case probably braced the cabinet and caused it to move much less. Without the cabinet on top, you may be hearing the cabinet vibrate a bit with the music. This can be a good thing when done right and provide more body and warmth to the sound. mungkiman
The case volume may have also provided a resonant frequency.
nitrofan
I use two pieces of concrete painted black with a cut to fit piece of truck mudflaps between them and my sub 12's. They don't move anymore. Yeah i know kinda ghetto but it works and they seem to have more impact than before.
thebes
Oh I thought you said Belle on a bookshelf. That would definitely not be a good idea.
