R-112SW Issue

Greetings, I am new to the forum and I have a very unusual dilemma. I have a R-112 SW I added to my RP-280 system less than 6 months ago. All of a sudden it stopped working, I checked everything possable in an attempt to diagnose the problem, connections, cables, settings both on the sub and my receiver, the power switch is set to on not auto, the Gain on the sub is set just above 12 o clock and is set to 60-80 Hz. During heavy bass it stops working, I mean shuts right off.Now the strange part. If I unplug the sub from the power,(wall outlet) and plug it back in it works once again. That's until some heavy bass kicks in again. It does this both with the TV, movies, etc. and with music,(CD's) I contacted my sales person and they are replacing the amp. in the sub this week. Has anyone ever experanced such issues or have any thought? Thanks much...

Regards,

Ray

Welcome to the forum rftobias. I hope this solves your problem too. If not keep hammering on your vendor or Klipsch to live up to their warranty. But it really sounds like you have/had a defective unit. I think you'll like the 15 better anyway.

Klipsch and my dealer were great. I picked up the new R-115 last Friday and I have been in Sub Nervana all weekend. I love it, my wife loves it, even the dog seems to dig it, not so sure about the neighbor's but hey, get use to it...
