Systmbldr21
Hello to all. I picked up a pair of cf-2's for $100. Ive never owned klipsch anything or anything with horns for that matter. They seemed to sound ok when i checked them out. But now that I have got to better inspect them I see the spiders on all 4 woofers are shot. I would like to replace or repair them. But i can not find anything to do so. Is there anyone that can recone these? Are there any good replacement woofers for these anywere? Or should i just sell the crossovers and horns and pitch the rest? Thanks for the help.
wvu80
Try Simply Speakers. They sell OEM Klipsch parts and may be able to repair your woofs. http://www.simplyspeakers.com/
Systmbldr21
Yeah I did contact them. They said they had nothing for these speakers.

I know there not exactly the same as what has come with these speakers. But so far its the closest thing I have been able to find.
Rivervalleymgb
Finding an exact replacement wil be difficult. The woofers do come up from time to time on eBay. I have two pair of the CF-2's. I haven't had time to go through the second pair that I originally bought for parts, but they have been doing time in my shop and sound great. Systmbldr21
Ok. Yeah I geuss my venture into klipsch is ganna be short lived. They sound good for garage speakers. I think I will just unload them and move on. I do however think I am sold on high efficency horn speakers though. Thanks for the reply. absolve2525
Dang, that's a bummer. If the tweeters are still good, they could be fun project speakers. Pop in those Parts Express woofers, eq if necessary, and have some fun.
