Joe879
Hi everyone new to the Klipsch scene, I just done completing my home theater with Klipsch. For my rears I have the rs-3 and I need to replace 1- 2 tweeters on them they sound kinda low, is there anywhere I can get replacement or something universal to fit? fuzzydog
Are you getting any sound out of the tweeters?
Joe879
There is some sound, one tweeter is lower then the other.
wvu80
Have they always sounded one lower than the other, or is this a change? What I'm getting at is that is sounds like the lower one is wired out-of-phase. It still works but the sound is very smooth and it loses some highs. Joe879
To be honest I'm not sure, I just got these today. One pair sounds as they should, the other one has a weak one. Is there a way I can check the wiring?
Joe879
Can I test the tweeters with an ohm meter? If so what is it supposed to read?
ricktate
YES just check to make sure both are the same ohms. Check polarity of all wiring that is just basic starting point. One low speaker tells me its wiring connections or maybe bad capacitor in network.

Joe879
So I tested the low sounding tweeter with the volt meter, it read 6.3-6.4 is that good or bad?
wvu80
I don't know the numbers, but I would test both tweeters and check for any variance. As a trouble shooting method you could also swap the tweeters and see if the low sound stays with the speaker or follows the tweeter.
