opusk2k9
These are fantastic speakers. I couldn't get good pics of mine - but they look just like these. They are so beautiful and very heavy - medium oak finish on mine. You can hear them first. Bring your favorite CDs to listen!! http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/ele/5646259140.html No affiliation. The photos are not of the actual speaker, but at $225...

opusk2k9
They have a built in sub woofers. There have been some issues on some of them (KSP-300/400) with speaker hum. However, for this price, it is likely worth picking up either way.
Woofers and Tweeters
Hmmm, I didn't know about the hum. I'm glad they're too far away from me.
T2K
I have heard that several people that have bought these speakers used have found gold bars stashed inside the cabinets. It must be true because I heard it. Keith

ZEUS121996
I've only heard one pair in recent years and they were another forum members. His also had the hum in one of the speakers. He said it was a relatively easy fix, just wasn't worth it to sink any more money in them Mark

ZEUS121996
Kinda like when fuses where blown, just put a penny in and put the fuse back in. That was solid advice LOL Mark

edzu1234
I had a pair of RP-5 Speakers which was the same general configuration. They had a hum also. The fix is to use a $1 ground plug adapter to go from grounded to non-grounded and use that plug to the wall socket. Easy fix---Nice speakers. Exactly why subwoofer amplifiers are best kept with your main components and not shoved in the same cabinet as the subwoofer itself.
T2K
I've owned some of these speakers for 15 years. I use the 300's for surrounds and 400's for fronts. It's nice having subs in the 4 corners without additional big boxes crammed in my living room. Too much bass is more of a problem than too little, but they have adjustments for that. Volume and boost and LFE. A couple of hundred bucks is a steal for the 300's if they're working properly. Simply adjusting the routing of the wiring inside the cabinet may eliminate the hum.
