Paid an outrageous price of $50 for my 8b, but even I must admit it turned out to be money well spent. (tried to talk them down to $25).

Refresh caps etc.  and if they have the original GE EL34's which are actually  Mullards, and in good shape, they will play for years.  Fiddlin with the small tubes can pay real benefits.

I've used the 8b with Heresy, Cornwall, Kg 1.5, 3.5, 4.2 and 5.2  Just a wonderful sound. Listening to the 8B through Khorns at this typing.

I've tweaked mine by beefing up the power supply, which pissed off some folks, who likeed it for  original sound, not necessarily the accuracy, but I liked the difference.

One thing, I've never tried strapping them into Triode, which I should do some day.

You mean you replaced the original can capacitors, or what?

How did you beef up the power supply?

I'm just curious, have never done such things on an amp.
