LaScala tweeter upgrades

Recommended Posts

I reworked my 1983 LaScala crossovers several years ago.  Lasts month I upgraded my mid horns to Dave's Fastrac's.  I am now looking at new tweeters.  I am trying to decide between Crites CT120's or ALK Eliptrac DE 120's.  Any suggestions or comments?

Thx

I have the Crites CT-125 and really like them. I have not heard much about the ALK tweeters though and am curious if any other members have gone that route.

Bob also sells the de120 - which is the route I'm taking.

Just read your post again - if you have Bob's CT-120, then you are already using the B&C de120.

I've found the Eliptrac Hf outstanding with the K400/401 and trachorn 400.  I prefer it over the k77 versions, ct-125 and perhaps the jbl 2404h in my systems.  No experience with the ct-120 but I would suspect it to be equally outstanding.

Deang, Are you saying both the Crites and the ALK are identical?  I see that the drivers are the same.  What about the actual horn?  They are different.  Is one superior to the other?  Any thoughts?

Sorry, it was a typo and has since been corrected. I have the CT-125. What is the difference between the 120 and the 125?
