oldred
I pulled these from my main home theater yesterday. When I bought them 5 years ago the young owner did some type of touch up refinishing . While they didn't look bad ....they could look better. Haven't quite decided to go oiled oak or finish them as original in oak clear. It was so fricken nice out this morning. I decided to do first sanding. The risers have been removed ...they are going to need some special attention I replaced them temporarily with a set of Forte II's from the warehouse(basement). Thanks for looking, G.E.M. Budman
the best finish i ever got on walnut was 2 coats of straight BLO and then 2 coats of watco danish oil. using each one didn't turn out as nice but together the watco on top of the blo was incredible Edited July 2, 2016 by Budman
mustang guy
That finish looks beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to follow that advice. Did you match it with cane grilles or black?
