Osibisa
Looking to buy a pair of Quartets but the base has damage that would need to be refinished. Are the bases for this model detachable as they are with the Kg4's?
WMcD
I think you'll find four plastic pieces on the underside at the corners which attach the riser to the main box. I would keep track of what goes where on all. WMcD
Osibisa
Perfect, thank you! I'm seriously considering upgrading from the Kg4 but the ones I'm looking at will need some work.
pzannucci
Unfortunately many people don't take care of nice equipment. Easy to build new bases if you don't want to redo them.
moray james
remove the riser, it is flimsy and very outdated visually. build or buy a set of good four post stands which will place the centre of the mid horn at your seated ear level which is around 39 - 41 inches up off of the ground. Better stage and image and better looks imo. Edited July 22, 2016 by moray james
