thebes
Can't seem to figure out how this is done. Do I use this insert other media thingie. When I try to it shows 95 pages of attachments, mostly pics of albums I've made. This also doesn't help me with something I've recently downloaded to my computer.. Thanks my good friends. mungkiman
Did you try clicking on "choose files?"
thebes
No such animal that I can see. My browser is SeaMonkey, a Mozzila browser. Maybe that's the difference?
mungkiman
I use Chrome, and "choose files" is on the left side of the screen while "insert other media" is on the right. Here's a screen shot:
thebes
Thanks for the screen shot. Mine has nothing on the left side. No choose files. Weird.
japosey
I've had the same issue. I was able to get the files to attach, but each file was blank.
thebes
Still no luck at all on this. I tried using Explorer and also couldn't get it to work. Must be some sorta internal security setting or something on my own compter?
Moderators dtel's wife Posted September 9, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 9, 2016 @Chad Any suggestions on this? I tagged Chad so we can be sure he sees this thread!!! Christy
Administrators Chad Posted September 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2016 @thebes what browser? EDIT: never mind... you already mentioned that. I've not heard of that browser. I'll look into it.

Administrators Chad Posted September 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2016 I downloaded SeaMonkey 2.40 on my Mac and everything looks right. Just to be sure, I'm using it to post this.
Administrators Chad Posted September 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2016 Thebes, I'm wondering if you've uploaded too many things so it's disabling the option for you (I'm not sure that's the cause but it's a shot in the dark). The max storage for attachments per member is 100MB. If you click on your name in the upper right of the forums and then click "My Attachments" in the menu, you should see all the attachments you've uploaded in the past.
thebes
Good work once again Chad! I'm over the limit. It's all those album covers I've posted in Right This Minute a thread I started about a decade ago. So if I slip you a fiver, can you let another 100 gigs or so fall off the digital truck? You *could* just use a 3rd party image host, like imgur.com or something... :-)
thebes
Yah like I could even figure that out. It took me months just to learn how to cut and paste and longer to post a pic and now you want me to learn some more gobblygook? C'mon you piker, cough it up. I tried deleting some stuff but from the looks of it it would take hundreds of deletions to get it down to a reasonable level and screw up a lot of older pots which are part of the forum collective knowledge. By the by, I always used to keep the pic sizes small cause Amy wanted us to.

thebes
Well I deleted about 75 pictures and freed up one and a half megabites. I'm thinking that's not the way to go, so more storage please.
Administrators Chad Posted September 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2016 We are limited on the amount of storage we can allocate for each member. This is why we recommend using a free (or otherwise) image sharing service like imgur.com, etc..
