jason str
Repairing my old HK-430 receiver, most of the bulbs are out. Need this to replace my Pioneer 780 while i work on a new cabinet for it. Found the fuse style bulbs for the tuner at Parts Express but am in need of the Stereo lamp and tuner pointer lamp. Figured somebody may have a manual or experience with these and help me locate the right parts to get the job done. By the way, anybody use the LED type yet ? mike stehr
1 hour ago, jason str said: By the way, anybody use the LED type yet ? I bought 8 volt LED fuse panel lamps for a friend's Marantz receiver. They dropped right in, they looked good, (bright and even) they use less current than a panel fuse lamp, and supposedly last longer. They were also less expensive than replacement or old stock panel lamps.

Marvel
Yeah, i was planning on replacing mine with LEDs. I've heard some people find the LED causes some noise, but I've never had any trouble with them. Uf they already have the current limiting resistor built in, all the better. Mike, where did yoy get the lamps? Bruce
jason str
Ordered some LED's for the tuner dial and bulbs for the Stereo beacon and tuner pointer, i will post back if they work or not.
ricktate
Got my tuner point light and stereo light from PE I think it was a LED been awhile. The fuse type lamps from PE seem to go out pretty fast maybe I'm getting wrong ones.
jason str
Bulbs came in today and everything worked. What i used is the sub mini 6 volt for the stereo beacon and the micro 8 volt for the tuner needle. The tuner dial is lit by 6 white LED's from the same place.
Marvel
Thanks for the links, Jason. All the lights are out on mine and it would be nice to have it light up again. Do those aready have a current limiting resistor built in? Bruce
