That said, winning 4 of the last 7 National Championships puts Alabama in "don't bet against them" department. I don't fully disagree, however, let's also remember how much money many of the top programs bring in to support other athletic and academic areas of the universities they are a part of.....it's not just football. Kent State netted $1.5 million for going to Tuscaloosa and playing Alabama. A nice gesture from Coach Saban to his Alma Mater. As for the contest, that was never in question.
