JohnA
I bought a Mazda CX-5 a few months ago. To get some things I wanted, like headlights that steer with the wheel, I had to take a Blose audio system. It is TRULY insufferable. Plus and minus 14 dB from 40 to 14k with a big peak from 40 to 100 Hz and another from 3k to 7k, and that's with the bass tone control set to near min. and the treble reduced half way to the min. Fortunately, Mazda says the "tuning" is in the power amp. Amp I can solve. The dash speakers are typical 3.5" but bounce the sound off of the windshield. What does that do to the frequency response? zobsky
Bouncing the dash speakers off the windshield is a trick in car audio that gets the path length from the the dash speakers to the ears approximately equal to the path length from the door speakers to the ears. Frzninvt
I have a blose system in my Nissan Rogue SL and it too has the typical thunder and lightning frequency response (boom, crash, with nothing in the middle). Like you it came with the premium package. Oh boy!
