ATLAudio
If you're not stuck on the "LaScala on top of sub" approach, I'd strongly suggest giving the PSA S1500 a look. I have the earlier model and they have incredible tight impulse control. You'll get down to the 20s hz with a pair
heavyP
what is the minimum size necessary for a matching sub for LaScala, 12" or 30"? thanks for your insights

heavyP
thanks jason. sometimes it's hard to handle reality. ;-)
jason str
You can run a horn loaded subwoofer with any type of loudspeaker but not a direct radiating subwoofer with horn loaded mains. There is a long version of the Table Tuba as well, use what fits best in the sweet spot(s). I would recommend at a minimum using the 10" driver in the Table Tuba though a double 8" would be best. heavyP
well that would be fine if i'd use the Table Tuba "elevated" as the system rack ;-) but i guess it has to stay the floor, right?
jason str
Put them where they work best, don't need to be on the floor.

I have 2 of the 8" brand new in the box never used if anyone needs them
zobsky
If i ever have the time, I'd like to design a sleek "under couch" horn sub. I've already kind of spec'd it out in horn resp a long while ago. Kind of a horn or tapped horn variant of this http://www.audioxpress.com/article/the-hideaway-tl-sub
