There's a guy local to me looking to sell his RF-5's which apparently haven't ever been used, or ever even hooked up for that matter. I do believe they have been at least taken out of the box. Anyway, he's asking $660, is that a good price or should I offer a little bit lower?

Sounds like an excellent deal, you can always make a lower offer but if they are in perfect condition they are well worth $660. If you don't want them let me know where they are as I am local to Long Beach, I am in Anaheim

Sounds like the pressure is on, Shodrewken.  Make a decision.  B)

I would have to assume he's talking about these guys here:

I absolutely love the RF-5's, more than I thought I ever could and they are a perfect match to the RC-7. They are very smooth and incredibly detailed with plenty of low end grunt and are very well balanced. I cannot say enough good things about the RF-5's.

I couldn't agree more.

And I have found the RF-5's really come to life with both power and tubes.

This is the guy selling the RF-5's  http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ele/5786293938.html

I couldn't get the wifey to sign off on the purchase so I had to pass. As far as I know they are still available and the guy is located in Lake Forest. When I told him I couldn't get the wife to give me the go ahead he was quick to lower the price to $600, so there might be some wiggle room for any interested.
