I bought one of these.  I'm stunned with the build quality of this horn.

How does it sound? I've looked at these and the shallow version as a possible substitute for the k-510

I don't know yet.  I have an unconventional project for it.

I believe Chris posted a curve with K55 with adapter.  Havent seen one with a two inch driver.

Here's the specsheet:

I have a pair of the 17 X 11 and a pair of the 18 X 10 on speakers in the same room. I like them both. The 18 X 10 is a more "normal" dispersion design (shallow version?) and therefore better suited for the average listening room. I also find the 18 X 10 to be more attractive. If you plan to make grills, the 18 X will be easier to cover, because of the lip on the 17 X.

While similar, the throats look a lot different. The selenium has somewhat of a slot at the very beginning of the throat. Plus, the Selenium is a 40x20 (?), which I really can't believe.

Selenium made the HM-4750 90x60 with the narrow throat, and the HL-4750 40x20 long throw. The ZXPC 17" X 11" looks like the HL-4750, but is made of ABS type plastic.

Ah, I got it. I missed the HM and HL designation. I have some of the HM-4750 horns. I like them a lot. Thanks for the correction.

That is what the manufacturer's spec sheet lists, but I would not guess it is that narrow when I listen to them. The sound seems to "project" out into the space in front of the speakers.

They should have used different numbers too, not just change one letter between two similar looking parts.

The horn appears to be a "long throw" type.  However, it would say the horizontal looks better than 40 degree.

Frazier Texans... Looking very nice.

@brians7 Do you have drawings for the bottom horns for the Texans?

I have been looking and it seems the original Texan used an eight inch woofer while the super Texan used a twelve inch woofer same cabinet for both models. Hope this helps some.

Yes they are Supper Texans covered with 1/2 Baltic birch and Walnut veneer. I do not have the drawings for them sorry.

No problem... drawings for Fraziers are pretty much non existent. It's a shame, really.

here is a good double twelve inch horn woofer which has exceptional bandwidth and will push far more air than a single fifteen inch cabinet, should be there with a Jub but none of those bifurcate issues to deal with.
