Moderators Youthman Posted October 13, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 13, 2016 Wow, I just saw an ad on Facebook about the SVS PB16-Ultra. Man that looks slick!!! Even connects to your phone. At $2499.99, I won't be getting one but man I love the way it looks. https://www.svsound.com/pages/16-ultra-series Or how about Dual PB16-Ultra's for $4799.99 - https://www.svsound.com/products/dual-pb16-ultra
Scrappydue
Boy they are even cutting down on their 5% group discount when buying multiples. 5000 ought to be 4750 not 4799. That's cheesy of them. Besides their bill of rights Svs has stepped into the Emotiva category for me. That were great budget products for near top notch products. Now they have stepped their prices up into the heavy hitters category. Just can't compete up there as well.
CHASLS2
I will try the SB version.

You could stack them if floor space is an issue. On the other hand, I would love to know how it performs compared to the SB13U. Maybe a shootout before you sell the SB13U. CECAA850
There's a discussion on these in the subwoofer section as well.
Moderators Youthman Posted October 13, 2016 Author Moderators Share Posted October 13, 2016 Thanks Carl....I spend 99% of my time right here in the HT section so I forget there is a dedicated Subwoofer section. Do you think I should move this thread to the sub forum and merge it with the other?
ClaudeJ1
For that kind of money, Danley tapped horns would wipe the floor with them, literally.
Moderators Youthman Posted October 13, 2016 Author Moderators Share Posted October 13, 2016 Oh I know....but it sure isn't as purdy. LOL
Moderators Youthman Posted October 13, 2016 Author Moderators Share Posted October 13, 2016 I still would love to hear a Danley DTS-10 someday.
RoboKlipsch
Box size for a performance down to 13hz though is darn impressive, and I trust SVS in this regard they do seem to meet their specs, but usually exactly to spec and no more. Still, 13hz at the low end, bought off the shelf, in a relatively small box....pretty nice! Usable to 10hz I would think!

Bill I sold the SB13U a while back. Just sounded bloated in my room. Have a small SB1000 that does as good as my SB12 NSD did.

Moderators Youthman Posted October 14, 2016 Author Moderators Share Posted October 14, 2016 Who needs butt kickers when you are sitting on a DTS-10.
derrickdj1
Tactile Transducers like the Buttkick, Crowson, Clark and Aura Pro's still add another dimension even with powerful and nearfield subs. They also don't disturb other people in the house and are quieter.
