I still think you could play with equalization or tone controls, and also positioning of the Klipsch, so that you're not directly on-axis with the tweets for example, to see if you can salvage some enjoyment out of them. But speakers make the biggest difference of any part of an audio system, and there is nothing wrong with preferring one over another.
