Can't answer that as I don't own a smart phone. I use a Fiio X5 digital music player (waited for a used one off Epay). It has two Micro SD slots, both can handle a 200gb card. That's a LOT of portable music!

Still have a SanDisk 4gb SD card working fine from my first digital camera. If you can't figure out a use for this card, it's better to wait until it's needed. It'll keep going down in price. Technology prices are good to those who wait.
jimjimbo
I don't buy cards that big mainly because I just don't like to put all of my eggs in one basket, as they say. Usually don't buy anything larger than 64 or 128gb.
Rivernuggets
Good to keep multiple baskets with duplicate media. All music on my Fiio player comes from our desktop (yep, still have one) hard drive upstairs, which is backed up by an external 2 TB hard drive. DizRotus
Backup baskets are essential. A high resolution file is very large, which takes up a lot of storage space in a hi-re mobile device. My Pono player has a 64GB drive and came with a removable 64GB micro SD card. I have several 128GB cards that I rotate. Each card has a different genre. I always buy SanDisk or Kingston. I've run across others that don't work as well, if at all. I'm sure there are many that work, but I know SanDisk or Kingston will work and the prices are competitive. It's amazing how inexpensive data storage has become.
