Wolfbane
Time to wear this silly-azz coat. I believe he muttered 'kill me' in dog speak when I put it on him:

jimjimbo
Actually, I think what he said was "As soon as you turn your back, the hamstring on your left leg will be shredded....just sayin'....woof"....
moray james
this is just the beginning we will almost always get 3 - 5 day a winter in Calgary colder than minus 30 not counting the wind chill, thank god it is so very dry here so you can layer up and dress warmly enough to deal with it. got to watch for wind and exposed skin. we probably get a couple of weeks between minus 25 and minus 29C each year.
2point1
I went for a 16 mile bicycle ride in shorts and a T shirt. Then I cut my grass. Well it was more like mow the leaves instead of rake them.

He's saving that for when I actually get his new winter boots on him again. He ran and hid under my daughter's bed last the time he saw them. That said, on our short, 10 block walk, at noon I had to carry him home the last 5 blocks. He left 85 degree F weather in the SW Desert less than 2 weeks ago to find himself freezing in the snow now. JJkizak
Next time get a Huskie. They love to bask in -40F with a 50 knot wind without booties and coat. JJK
Moderators dtel Posted December 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted December 8, 2016 Cute looking dog, but I don't blame him, -30 or anywhere close to that is not fit for people or animals, says most Southerners.

He also hates getting bathed. That makes him a lover, not a fighter. Here he's been flushed from under my youngest daughter's bed, cornered and booted for his after dinner walk. Normally the highlight of his day - not tonight though.
YK Thom
''Tis the season. We were down to -29 last night, -27 right now as I consider heading across the street to the pub.
Moderators dtel Posted December 10, 2016 Moderators Share Posted December 10, 2016 I can't imagine, we were 27 last night, 54+ degrees colder, not me. My thermometer does not even need anything in the minuses, ever.
