Budman Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Klipschorn E the E stands for Europe or Export KC-BR stands for Klipschorn - C style ( no collar between the top and bottom section ) - Birch Raw the N in the serial number stands for1975 and they should have the pie slice logo's there shouldn't be anything wrong with them. i personally think the older the better. the labels are in mint condition so hopefully the speakers are also in mint condition 1 Quote

Thankful for any help I can get. Peter Norway The letter "N" in the serial number denotes a manufacturing date of 1975. The "K-C-BR" stands for Klipschorn, Type C (no collar), Birch Raw (unfinished Birch). Unless they are damaged in some way (drivers or cabinets) there wouldn't be anything inherently wrong with them. Hope that helps... 1 Quote
ricktate Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 If the condition of those labels is any indication of the care those were shown. BUY those.....lol. You may have to rebuild the crossover and replace- rebuild tweeter. But that is easy to do. Quote
Retep Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Thanks guys. Will post two more pictures i have on them. The person selling them are using them in his living room. plays them everyday. Back with the pictures soon. Quote
Retep Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Here they are. I think I will go for them very curious on them. Have had almost all the RF series speakers and the Belle. These will be delivered with the original and an updated crossover. cant remember witch.. 1 Quote
Retep Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Finally what is the going rate on these? I know the price in the US is far lower than in Europe. Quote
Retep Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 The crossovers is a AKL universal original. not the cheap version sold by Al Klappenberger today. Quote
Retep Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Not my Words... by the way. I have no clue Quote
Budman Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 the picture of the k-horn is a B style, which is the best looking. somebody added the spacer and put on some very nice veneer price 1500 - 2500 Quote
ricktate Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Those look sweeeet I would buy them right away. How much did you have to pay for them? Looks like they have been upgraded and taken care of for sure. Quote
Retep Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Haven't bought them yet Trying to find out as mutch as possible. The askingprice is about 3400us. Klipsch is very cheap in the US compared to Norway. Quote
ricktate Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Well if you can afford it go for it. Those cross overs alone were around 400 bucks I think. Some that nice would approach that price in US now anyway. I thinks a no brainer BUY THEM. They are plug in listen to and nice looking. Don't forget the top section comes off for transporting. Quote
Frzninvt Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Someone added the riser, molding and veneer. They look tastefully done. The ALK networks were $550. I feel $3400 is too much but it depends on the area and the market which I am sure is very limited in Norway. Quote
Schu Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Norway is a much different market... getting US pricing from here is not useful. I would have to say that anything from 1000-1500 (not counting modifications) over the usa price is reasonable. In the US, those would sell in the 2000-200 range. Off the guy 3000 and be very happy when he says yes. Quote
