Yeah it freaked me out. even the director said he originally removed it because it was just too real but they had to put it back because they just couldn't match it in post. It is reported that back in the day the ATF visited the studio of the Man from Uncle ready to pounce over what seemed to be automatic pistols convertable to long guns, and silencers, etc. The crew showed them they were all props with non functioning accessories. Looking at the movie clip I expect the muzzle flash and big noises could be special effects. Maybe even brass ejecting. Also, I don't see any recoil or muzzle rise.
