A no-op for the asking price. It would be nice to know what you've hooked it to (loudspeakers, that is) and something about the room that they're in. Also, let us know when you believe that the miniDSP HD has become part of your (main) listening experience, and how it has changed the sound of your listening setup. It would also be nice to see some performance measurements with the HD in-room, if you have run measurement upsweeps. Chris
Chris A 2673 Posted October 1, 2018 Just happened upon this over at diyAudio--a test report on the miniDSP 4x10 HD: https://www.neurochrome.com/minidsp-4x10-hd/ Chris
BrockDorf 0 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) As per my knowledge you can clip the inputs pretty easily, even after changing the internal jumpers. The HD version like you're looking at specifically fixes this problem. The engineers apparently wanted to maintain the ability for the normal version to run off of USB power so it is what it is. percentage calculator Edited October 16, 2018 by BrockDorf
Ron E 600 Posted October 11, 2018 I had the 2x4 balanced ones for a while, and I had the hiss from my horns. When I moved to the 88M...the hiss vanished. Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk

Ron E 600 Posted October 15, 2018 Reading the above review it appears that when you run the lower gain setting the noise goes down.
rockhound 747 Posted October 15, 2018 I wonder is it worth it to upgrade my current 2x4HD to include dirac live?
Ron E 600 Posted October 15, 2018 I miss my Dirac, and will be getting it again when I get enough of my setup done. You can download a PC version to try out I believe on the minidsp site.
