Hadn't used the bag in a while, came across and was going to put M40 in for storage. Noticed that one side looked strange. Realized that the storage container was constructed of cardboard, that was wrapped with several pieces nof leather that had been glued on. Needless to say, was a bit surprised. Fortunately, the headphones perform beautifully with smooth clarity. Sorry that I don't have any answers to your issue. You may want to reach out to Klipsch Customer Support. Good luck.
