captmobley
I have a Juicy Blueberry BBX with cream preamp. I use a VPI Scout turntable with a Dynavector 10x5 high output moving coil cartridge. I usually use the Cream setting on the pre because I think it sounds better than the MM setting. Just for the heck of it I bought a Musical Surroundings Phenomenon ll phono pre here on the forum to see if more precise loading options would make a difference. I ran it through one and then each of the auxiliary inputs but only get sound from the right channel. I changed interconnects. No change. I tried a Dynavector P75 phono preamp with the same results. Only sound from the right channel. My CD player works on all 4 auxiliary inputs-both channels. I'm stumped. Please advise! Thanx.

babadono
To clarify, So two different Phono to line level preamps plugged into the aux input yield no signal on left channel? But a CD player plugged into the same aux input is Ok? Weird.

babadono
Did you use the same interconnect with the CD and the phono pre?

No.4
Are all the connections from the cart correct and connected? Did you try plugging the right side of the interconnect into the left channel?

No, but I Swapped out the interconnects for another pair. I'm away from home all week. I'll try the cd player interconnects when I get back home. USNRET
So cables from TT to MM input both channels work and cables from TT to MC input both channels work. Anytime an external phono amp is connected to an aux input the left channel is dead but a CD player connected to that aux input both channels are good. Different cables tried without success. If you used the same cables that were successful on CD player on phono amp then I give up but would try connecting phono amp to aux using known good cables and then swapping left / right cables from TT to phono stage.
