Klipsch KG 5.2 Compatibility

Hello all,

I just inherited a pair of Klipsch KG 5.2 speakers, and I don't know a thing about them.

I would like to use them with my Denon DRA-395 receiver. It is rated at 80 watts per channel.

Is this an OK matchup?

Thanks!

Here is a link to the specs. It's a web archive page, because Klipsch deleted most of the information for their discontinued models, during a website upgrade... and never put them back.

Your current Denon will work just fine. Hook them up and enjoy...

I've owned most of the KG line.  Start them out about 7 feet apart close to the wall.  Try two or three different pieces of music and then move them in and out a bit, repeat the same pieces of music, or angle them (toeing in it's called) towards you, until your happy.  It sounds a bit tedious but will you reap clearly improved sonic dividends.

Great speakers. Enjoy.

Do you have other links to specs from the archive? Seems like you have to know the Wayback Machine URL in order to find these...

I have a pair that someone gave me, too! They're fun speakers for sure, they have nice treble extension. I haven't set them up in a while, but I liked them especially for video games. Their treble gave a nice sense of space to atmospheric sounds in a Legend of Zelda title, they made the game more engaging. Have fun with them!

Here is the main link to the archive. From here you can find all the old/discontinued models.
