Woofers and Tweeters
Any Motorcycle race fans here? Guy Martin returning to the TT in 2017. Guy in 2015 Dunlop and Martin (Edit) - Since The Isle of Man isn't one very many people get to go to, I added / Motorcycle Races to the thread title so that any other races, riders, tracks, clubs, stories can be shared. cincymat
Love watching the TT on TV. Those folks can ride. Too bad I can't understand a word the interviewees say. Especially Guy Martin. Mark
Ceptorman
I wonder how they ride with balls the size of basketballs This race is on my bucket list. Years ago, the GP guys would race there (Agostino) Imagine Rossi racing the TT? Don't think Yamaha would like that.

The camera crew and the onboard shots are hard to beat, but there's nothing like being there, and that goes for any race.

I figured Bayliss would have gave it a go.
2point1
It sounds like Guy picked up a good ride. The TT is beyond dangerous.
Srinath
IOM is one of those strange race tracks. Joey Dunlop did very well into his late 40's, and at the same time, younger riders don't neccesarily do well. Like Tour de France, when you have the strength you don't have the smarts, and when you have the smarts, you need the illegal dope. But since there is a motorcycle instead of a bicycle, you don't need the dope. Cool. Srinath.

richieb
Rossi is Way Too smart, and old, to race the Isle. He is and has been the Golden Boy in GP; he ain't gonna risk his life to prove anything on the island.
Ceptorman
Joey Dunlop won a couple dozen races there, that record may never be broken. His last win there was on a Honda VTR1000r (RC51 in the USA) I have one of these bikes in my garage...

They are scheduled to do a flat track race here at the Red Mile.

Bought a perfect, low mileage unit and sold it the same. One of the few "production" sport bikes that was a real race bike in disguise.

If you have the chance to go see a Mile - DO IT.
Ceptorman
I miss the Indy Mile, they quit coming since the GP bike left. Probably the most amazing race I've ever seen.
