I got interested in bikes again thanks to you guys, and I found a nice Ducati in my local CL, no kidding.

Can someone tell me how to adjust the valves?

Schraeder valves don't need adjusting.

I'm a bike guy but certainly more dirt than street.  All of those bikes are cool but none I would want to own.

Let's say you pick up an exotic Ducati; do any of you guys know how to adjust the valves?

Me neither.  B)

Of course, and don't forget the timing belt, every 2 yrs or 7k mi.  How do you check the tension in the belt?  5mm play or get the tensioner gauge.

In my younger years I spend a LOT of time in the garage working on my race bike.  I enjoyed that.

Now I'm old, and I enjoy NOT doing that.  B)

For me it's relaxing. I enjoy working on MY machines.

Not a clue but Ducati has made huge leaps in service schedule for desmo's. I believe 15 or 16000 miles on newer models. A far cry from the 3-4000 years ago.

First one before 2k mi, next at 10k mi, and every 10k after, unless you're a rev'er.
