klipsch speakers Onkyo rz 800 level calibration for klipsch 5.1

Iam new here and hope someone can help for setup level calibration and crossover on my onkyo rz 800 for 5.1 klipsch speakers

2 RP 280FA atmos front right /left klipsch 

2 rp 240S surround speakers  klipsch

3) center channel 450C klipsch 

4) S115 subwoofer klipsch 

for dome reasons not able to setup with microphone and like to setup manually and since my first time need you guys if had any experience, would be great to share here .

Need put numbers for level calibration and crossover

Welcome to the forum.  What is the problem with the mic since this is the preferred way to get the best sound out of the system?  Manual setup requires setting all speakers to small in the setup menu, then adjusting each speaker to 75 db. at the Main Listening Position(MLP).  A sound pressure meter and test tones from the avr can be used for this process.

What happens when you plug in the mic and turn on the Onkyo?  It should take you to a Calibration Menu.  If it does not, is your receiver under warranty?  Might can call Onkyo to see about getting a new mic or returning the unit?

 

As mentioned, if you need to calibrate manually, the only way to do it accurately is to use a DB Meter.

Either will work fine.

Try setting your speakers to small, cross them over at 80Hz.  That's a good starting point.  You can try different crossover settings to see what sounds best to you.

I have the Onkyo TX RZ810 and had a similar problem. There is a room issue where I was getting some cancellation effects and the mic wasn't picking up the left front speaker. Try moving the mic just a little or try mounting it on something different. Also try moving the speakers a bit. After numerous tries it worked but I didn't like the results. I finally set it up by myself using my own ears and repositioning the speakers.
