How do I fix this plant stain on black finish?

You will need to lightly sand the top.  I'm thinking you need 150 grit sand paper at first, finish with 220.  Then re-stain, finish with a satin polyurethane using a high quality brush, two coats.

Allow things to dry at last 24 hours between coats.  After the first coat you will have micro bubbles.  Knock those bubbles off with 600 grit sand paper by hand, no sanding block.  A tack cloth will get all the dust off after sanding.

I don't have the "after" pics, but here was my CF-4 as I got it.  It cleaned up with sanding as I described.  I refinished the entire cab, not just the top.
