Lost240
I have a pair of fortes and the only thing wrong with them is this plant stain from the previous owner. How do I remove it?
wvu80
You will need to lightly sand the top. I'm thinking you need 150 grit sand paper at first, finish with 220. Then re-stain, finish with a satin polyurethane using a high quality brush, two coats. Allow things to dry at last 24 hours between coats. After the first coat you will have micro bubbles. Knock those bubbles off with 600 grit sand paper by hand, no sanding block. A tack cloth will get all the dust off after sanding. I don't have the "after" pics, but here was my CF-4 as I got it. It cleaned up with sanding as I described. I refinished the entire cab, not just the top.
Cantilope
It's tough to see from the photo, but your paint might just be full of tiny scratches and dulling that area. Try an auto polish before you do anything else. Maybe you can polish out the tiny scratches.
T2K
Polish will get into the fine grain and turn white.
