miliellie111
Just hooked the RP280's to the Marantz SR7010 just running a 2.0 system for now with the TV. I am underwhelmed. Volume seems low especially on TV and almost like I have to crank it all the way to 70+ to get any decent volume and the bass sounds very weak. What am I missing? Connected with the bottom two + and - connections on the back of the speakers with 16 guage wire banana plugs. Front speakers are set to large. What are reccomended settings for this receiver? BlessedPrince
I don't think your missing anything. It's the source most likely. Have you tried them with anything else? I use my 280's with a yammy and an external power amp. Try messing with the EQ. I'm not familiar with marantz but Yamaha has an EQ for each speaker. That's Besides the tone and bass controls. michael.tate
You have to run Audyssey on the Marantz or play with the EQ manually
