The Endorian Whooping Mountain Llamas have recently been brought back from the edge of total extinction by an on-going effort by high-altitude naturalists. These scientists have re-introduced a strain of the Andean Mountain Sedge to the Peruvian mountains. This drought resistant, low growing shrub, a prime dietary staple of the Whooping Mountain Llamas was replaced by cocoa as the primary cash crop of the fertile mountain valleys of Boliva during the 70s and 80s. Officials justified the eradication of this crop due to the heavy rainfall normally received by this geographic location. With the lack of this vegatation, the Endorian Whooping Mountain Llamas' numbers were reduced to mere hundreds.

Another key factor in the decimation of the Endorian Whooping Mountain Llama population, is the high incidence of freak "blue ice" strikes caused by the jettisoning of toilet products from high speed jets. It seems that the llamas tend to act in a similar manner as lightning rods, they seem to attract climatic disruptions and thermal waves.

These rare and beautiful animals, renown for the wild Whooping Call that they blast during the mating season, stand about 6 feet tall with a coat that is totally white with the exception of a bright red top-knot. The animal refuge on Kwajalein island, established in 1990 saved the species, and also domesticated the animal to the point where they are used as the only form of transportation in the atolls of the Marshall Islands.

Sorry Sephen...I never could make the essay by Numbers.......
