Gentlemen

It's a Vinyl Spinning thread because not all music is available in other formats

Not only do we like to see the record spinning around it's also normal to sit and listen to the record from start to finish without the constant - stop, start, change track with the remote control ( you all know what I mean )

Anyway next spinning session I have stuck with King Crimson

For @Tarheel a special photo

Artist - King Crimson

Album - In The Court Of The Crimson King

I need to hear Dr diamond...

I am the driver of an underground train
Chaos in the streets above, to me it's all the same
I shake your houses, then I'm gone keeping time down here below
I could drive my train to hell, not a soul would know

I am the driver of an underground train
Just imagine who I am and breathe the letters of my name
Any time you say the word my wheels and humming on the line
We'll be meeting face to face, we'll be meeting face to face, somewhere beyond the danger sign

I am the driver of an underground train
The lonely life can't bother me, far away from wind and pain
I come upon the station lights with a mighty rushing sound
Listen for the hiss of brakes in tunnels underneath your town

I am the driver of an underground train
Climb aboard, just climb aboard, your loss is my eternal gain
Squeeze your precious body in before I quickly close the doors
Come riding in the smoky dark, where you are mine, and I am yours.

The best Vinyl system I ever heard was a Garrard changer with an old GE cartridge set at 6 grams pressure with a Heathkit system. I was never able to duplicate it with modern expensive stuff. Zero pops, zero scratches, zero wow and flutter, zero distortion on all records. And that's when I had good ears. And I really mean zero distortion.

Just finished all 4 sides of Mr. Clapton's Unplugged on 180G vinyl and cued up ELP's Brain Salad Surgery also on 180G vinyl. An almost "religious"  experience being played through the recently received RF-82 II. I really REALLY need to go shopping for more vinyl.

My neighbor's only comment upon hearing the new system was "DAMN!" For just a tick under $3K I've assembled one of the best sounding systems that I've ever owned. And that's saying something considering I've owned stereo systems approaching $50K or a bit more.

No. The turntable is a U-Turn Audio Orbit with an Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge mounted.

As I understand it a small group of engineering students from a prestigious North East ivy league school decided that they could build a "high end" turntable at an affordable price. They did the whole "gofundme" thing and raised an ***-load of cash to get started.

Don't matter to me. I have a really nice turntable at a price that fits well in to my budget.
