Petty was looking forward to meeting him when he came in. The meeting never occurred, as Lennon was murdered before making it into the studio. Petty and the band paid tribute to the slain former Beatle by etching "WE LOVE YOU J.L." in the runout deadwax on early U.S. and Canadian pressings of Hard Promises.[14][15]

JohnJ
@Full Range you know what? After several decades of changing channels when I heard him, hearing that Phil Collins version of Tomorrow Never Knows is well done. Been on a more calming tones binge lately. I haven't pulled this one out in a long time... 2

dirtmudd
i found this funny....from a eBay seller... All of my records are cleaned with the Spin Clean MK-II. It does a fantastic job. Remember - cleaning them doesn't remove the scratches of scuffs, but it does remove the grime and fingerprints and dust and bong resin and Cheetos flakes.

Schu
I think that's one of Frank blacks greatest compositions... the thing about it is, since there is no lyrics, that the song sounds just as good played back at 33rpm as it does in it native 45rpm. I regularly listen to it both ways.
billybob
Wow, that Frank Black sounds really cool! Thanks for the turn on... Sounds like a pheromone(sp) at the beginning. Farm out!

Full Range
@dirtmudd That dude on the videos has a fine looking McIntosh system ✅ @JohnJ The material that 60s / 70s prog bands ( Infact all genre bands ) released was outstanding Lots of musicianship, lots of factual subjects in the songs But sadly most bands broke up due to being mishandled by management and mishandled money matters 1 1
