Good evening everyone.....................   Just finished listening to a LIVE orchestral concert via stream from WCRB out of Boston MA.  at Tanglewood....!    Now, switching it up with some VINYL I have not played in a while, an album I really enjoy...   So, listening via Dynaco monoblocks and matching preamp with all new capacitors through the Klipschorns of 1967 vintage...

Here is the cover artwork......................DSCN2512.jpg

Thank you Paul !   I will keep this in mind when I come back to visit, as I leave the forum windows in order so I won't miss it...   You are probably in bed as I type this...   It is now 1am. MONDAY morning for you....   Have a good work week....

Meanwhile, it is Amateur Radio antenna day PART #2 and will be complete and the station will return to the airwaves once again :emotion-21:

Built in the belly of junk by the river my cabin stands
Made from the trash I dug out 'the heap, with my own fair hands
Every night, I'm back at the shack and I'm sure no one is there
I'm putting the aerial up, so I can go out on the air
On the air
On the air
On the air
Every morning I'm out at dawn with the dwarfs and the tramp
For a silent communion lit from above by the sodium lamps
Everyone I meet on the street acts as if I wasn't there
But they're all going to know who I am 'cause I can go out on the air
On the air
On the air
On the air
Leaving the car down leafy lane
Turning out Tarzan for my Jungle Jane
anyone at all
From Captain Zero and his brand of superhero
standing by a call
Oh it's not easy
No it's not easy
Making real friends
Don't give me your steak-reared milk boys, milk boys
Half alive on empty white noise, white noise
I got power, I'm proud to be loud; my signal goes out clear
I want everybody to know that Mozo is here
On the air
On the air
On the air

Been playing with my Akai RTR. If I keep it, will put some vinyl on it. Like most Sunday evenings will be listening to Michael Barone on my local radio playing Pipe Dreams. Various works by differing artists on famous organs throughout the country. 2 hour show...

Will try to pickup the station here with my wireless...; )

A special spin today for @Tigerman

I grew up listening to movies playing this music - and I still love it even though I don’t listen to this style enough these days

This album is the old standards from the big band era in the Jazz Swing genre

Artist - Count Basie and Joe Williams

Title - Count Basie Plays - Joe Williams Sings

A Japanese pressing on Verve Records

Beautilul and rich sound quality

ID - MV 2650

I described this record as beautiful and rich sound quality

Can also say the recording has a life or is alive

Must be the Verve touch ?

Scored this one on Ebay in almost mint if not mint condition. My parents R & R equivalent in the 40's and 50's. Old country songs tell a story as Ray Charles use to say.

I was raised and worked in Montgomery, Alabama most of my adult life and meet many people that knew, or at least claimed to know, Hank Williams. If anyone is interested I can pass on some of the gossip I heard over the years. One reliable source, the driver of his car the day he died, told me he died of heroin overdose in the back seat of the car. Probably with the needle still in his arm. Back then those facts were not reported by the press. It was rumored during his divorce that Audrey said she could not live with someone that would shoot at her with a gun. Hanks response was he was not going to live with a woman he had to shoot at. Just some of the stories I heard. Hanks life was like the many rock stars of today. Sex, drugs and R & R, let's replace R & R with just music.
