Vinyl - Record Spinning

Last LP!!!  Hot D&MN!  FINALLY!  Had to give her a listen!  NOW I can put my feet up a bit & relax!  Tomorrow?  Gonna be polishing up my smoked glass sliders and installing them in my album cabinet AFTER one more round of moving them down the line so I have some space on the cabinet shelves.  Night!   :)

Thought I would continue with Synergy’s 4th album

Larry Fast is a true pioneer of electronic music

And I would class this album genre as experimental electronic

This album I believe was conceived while Larry was touring with Peter Gabriel

Cool looking cover as well

Artist - Synergy - Larry Fast

Title - Games

ID - PB6003 On Pasport Records

US import

Just a brief analysis...

dared vp-20 vs dynaco st -70 series 11..

the vp-20 with 6l6 gc quads...

had more punch , in your face mids ,

and a little more sizzle on the top..

st-70 with el 34 quads... Had better low end.

smoother mids , and a slightly rolled of highs

But with the vp-20 ... Rated at 18 watts... But benched tested with the same tubes.. Came in @ 14 watts..

Had more from the start...And seemed louder the st-70..

Not sure what the st-70 benched @

But is rated @ 35...

I think a new set of vintage valves/tubes are in store for this amp...

And a complete tube/valve job for the cj pv-7 preamp are next...

Dynaco St-70 series 11...

had a el-34 red plate.... Haven't ordered a matched quad as of yet..

Pulled out the dared vp-20....

If your not familiar with this cheap

Chinese tube amp... It's not a bad little amp.... I have a matched quad..

Of circled seds.... Bought back in 07-08.. The real deal before the factory closed...

And this little amp rocks !  Benched tested @ 14 watts...

Very dynamic it is...But I've been living with it since 05.....

I  like it better than the series 11 st-70....

Not sure of what tubes for the st-70

Maybe 6CA7 / KT77 TUBES

Any thoughts out there.?

Hey there Paul.............another CLEAR vinyl...   As you saw, the Cords LP I played recently was clear as well.  I have the one you are listening to, but I think it is black vinyl in my case....   hmmmmmm   Just checked Amazon, and there are various copies Larry's albums, even some NEW on cassette!!    Ok, I hope to put something up here over this coming weekend..   Enjoy your day, as we get ready to bed down shortly here in the Eastern states..    ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz_______________-_-

Exactly how do you know she wasn’t l? 🤔

What is a Steely Dan mean?
With the core band recruited, Donald and Walter need a name for their group. Since both of them were avid readers of 1950's "Beat" literature, they decided to name the band "Steely Dan" after a dildo in William Burroughs' "Naked Lunch.

Gettin' heavier, still melodic.

Pat Travers, last time I saw him he was getting older, still rocking. Drove my V-65 Magna to a new Harley dealership opening just north of Satellite Beach, he did a matinee in the lot.

A few I met were not at all upset that I had my rice rocket with me there! They were impressed that at 5'9" I rode in on a 600# bike.
