When Candy-O came out it was unreal how all the heavy metal folks would ignore them.

At the same time they'd smile and listen intently when it was played on the radio wherever I was.

Hope it's a good copy, it deserves decibels!

rip 2003 Natalia,  but the raven, from Edgar Allan Poe....

""Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
“Sir,” said I, “or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
    But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
    And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you”—here I opened wide the door;—
            Darkness there and nothing more.""

Yea, the white boy's were good enough to walk into Berry Gordy's Motown office and lay down one helluva LP.  Even talked him into their own label while they were at it.  Rare Earth was born in 1969 and this is truly one great LP.  From a bluesy "Tobacco Road" to an entire B side of "Get Ready!"  If you don't have it???  Do yourself a favor cause it WILL kick your rear!
