Don't make me show my Tom Jones...speaking of which, it came on at 8:00 pm on a channel Friday in Orlando, 1969. Tom had all kinds of talent including the act...Arthur Brown...you remember " IAM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE" THE ACT CONSISTED OF Arthur SWINGING LIKE A PENDULUM ACROSS THE STAGE WITH HIS HEAD...ON FIRE...just to land on stage...Unreal.

Baby here I am, I'm a man that's on the scene, I can give you what you want, but, you gotta come back home with me...what a man.

I remember the movie To Sir With Love

I think Sidney Poitier was the teacher

Yes, that is the one. Saw it at a tender age. Nice rendition in 2007.

Here should be the Brown video albeit not the Tom Jones show where it was spectacular:

Well it’s Saturday night in my neck of the woods and I have a treat for Jazz Blues fans

A brilliant album that stands the test of time with some brilliant musical output from this perfect melding of musicians that formed this band

An album must listen recommendation to all ( and I don’t make to many )

a shout out to a jazz fan @Tigerman

Artist - Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers

Title - Moanin’

Well, I'm not the world's most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine, oh my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola
Well, I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walked like a woman but talked like a man, oh my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola

Beware the "Ides of March!" is coming!  lol

Until then let's just have "One More For The Road"

Met a girl called Lola and I took her back to my place
Feelin guilty, feelin scared, hidden cameras everywhere
Stop! hold on. stay in control

Girl, I want you here with me
But I'm really not as cool as I'd like to be
cause theres a red, under my bed
And theres a little yellow man in my head
And theres a true blue inside of me
That keeps stoppin me, touchin ya, watchin ya, lovin ya

Paranoia, the destroyer.
Paranoia, the destroyer.

It's not often I pull a mono LP out of ANYone from the 60's.  Making an exception this evening only because these guys had soooo many great songs.  Nice to see they're back out on the road a bit wakin up the youngin's and givin all of old guys another shot to rep that tie-dye!  Wellllllll, don't know how it happened but the pressing was in stereo yet the jacket said mono...  Prolly worth millions!  lol

Another treat on a balmy Sunday evening of great jazz

This album gives me goosebumps in a great way

I have read it was recorded in 3 days in 1960

The only description I can give this album is “;effortless and mesmerising”

With only two extended tracks per side - and as the title suggests the first track is called My Favorite Things as per the movie The Sound Of Music - But way way better

It’s another must listen to album

Artist - John Coltrane

Title - My Favorite Things

The platter rotates clockwise

The tonearm angle rail body floats on air  - But is a tangential type - so the tonearm / stylus  always tracks on the centre line

if you have Instagram please have have a look at the video on the second slide

Also here is a short  YouTube video I have found
