Some pundits call it an understated masterpiece

Be waiting for that tomorrow - AU time

I don’t have any Bill Evans LPs

But I do hear his piano work in Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue

Well, if you enjoy piano jazz...particularly nice quiet, low light, rooms, a comfortable chair, with your favorite adult beverage...neat...

Let me recommend The Bill Evans Trio: Waltz for Debbie, and Sunday at the Village Vanguard.  Two separate lp's but recored during the same gig at the Vanguard. June of 1965.  The trio is made up  Bill Evans, Piano; Scott LaFaro, Bass; Paul Motian, Drums.  Arguably, his best trio ever which was tragically cut short following  these gigs, when LaFaro died in an automobile  accident.  Evans was gutted and took time off to grieve...

I have read that this next album is an understated masterpiece

First released in 1962 but was actually recorded in 1957 and sat on by RCA

My pressing is German Under RCA - Jazz Special series

Released In 1982 and has a different cover to the original

Heads up to @Mossy bottom - https://www.discogs.com/Charlie-Mingus-Tijuana-Moods-Jazz-Special/release/3270232

This album is emotional and reflects the artists moods, while on a holiday in Tijuana

Artist - Charles Mingus

Title - Tijuana Moods

Oscar Peterson is a name familiar with. Seems there was a trio, of course... Marion's Piano Jazz program apparently had a great number of artists over the many years... Mingus one of those remember discussed ...superb.

billybob, I'm a McPartland fan...I would always listen to her piano jazz radio show over NPR back when they were live...I also have a number of her lp's and magnetic tape as well.

Thanks for bringing her up!!

Cheers

Hey there everybody. Been a while.

So, tonight is my last Saturday night here in Cincinnati. Moving to North Carolina next Friday. Big change in life.

Listening to CSN&Y with a little Joni M. Khorns are keeping up their end. Hope they sound twice as nice down south.

Cincy

PS:  I'm not changing my name after my move to N.C. 😁
