Let me recommend The Bill Evans Trio: Waltz for Debbie, and Sunday at the Village Vanguard. Two separate lp's but recored during the same gig at the Vanguard. June of 1965. The trio is made up Bill Evans, Piano; Scott LaFaro, Bass; Paul Motian, Drums. Arguably, his best trio ever which was tragically cut short following these gigs, when LaFaro died in an automobile accident. Evans was gutted and took time off to grieve...
JohnJ
We've got a Bill Evans in the family... not a pianist, but his son Bill is an excellent musician, earns his living off of it! 3

billybob
Oscar Peterson is a name familiar with. Seems there was a trio, of course... Marion's Piano Jazz program apparently had a great number of artists over the many years... Mingus one of those remember discussed ...superb.

Big change in life. Listening to CSN&Y with a little Joni M. Khorns are keeping up their end. Hope they sound twice as nice down south.
