Vinyl - Record Spinning

Full Range

Recommended Posts

I sent the wife off to the the Black Friday sales on one condition

Go to a local record store and get me these 3 LPs  at 20% to 30% off ( will post titles when she returns )

So while she is shopping I will be spinning in peace

The Beatles made  a movie or two

So did Slade - this album is the music from that film

Some great songs on this album

Artist - Slade

Title - Slade In Flame

OK the better half is back from shopping  - But I’m not that good at waiting 😃

This is the record haul on the Black Friday sales ( although today is Saturday) we ordered and paid to be collected today - that is smart

Anyway

1) Deep Purple - Machine Head, 180 gram limited purple disc

2) Cream - Disraeli Gears, 180 gram remaster

3) Mike Oldfield- Tubular Bells, 180 gram remaster

All by back to black vinyl

Hey Paul,

I've been pretty happy with those record day re-issues myself, and not just because the lp's were new compared to the high mileage ones I had.

Don't hold your breath on gleeful reviews of 600 + records in four crates from me.

The fella that left those with my brother told him he could get $1000.00 out of them. My brother holds him in high regard. He called me and talks about bringing them to me to ascertain the ones of high value, and I get the rest. I offered to help telling him it would take a year, offered him optional remedies. His ceasing to talk to me about this led to me practically cornering him here the other day. So I repeated what I told him, the best way to get the most $ is to catalog them, advertise at discogs and be prompt dealing with folks in his new business. He's got a 13 yr old and a 8 yr old and cannot do that. Reminded him I think his best option is.... craigslist for around $500 for the lot would make easy, quick work of it.

You should have seen his eyes, with his unwavering boneheaded-ness on display.

Unless all of them are first pressing edition like the Beatles White with the additional 45 inside, and all are M condition they are going to collect dust in his laundry room for decades.

Unintentional probably, his unsolicited "offer" to me was f'n cruel :huh2: to a vinylhead!

I'll throw some on later here got a decent selection already, rivalry week for ncaa football starts at noon today.

@JohnJ Explain to yo bro - it’s no different to used car values if pristine you will get more than if it’s abused

But that also applies to just about everything collectable

👍Yea but......

still think cataloging and listing individually would get him the most $. I offered to do that with the ones I found that had significant value, heck he was offering me the rest!!

That leaves craigslist that I believe you still don't have to go through a massive registration process for. I also got under his skin asking "Well why do you think your esteemed engineer friend didn't just sell them to get that grand!" That many would be a chore to sell any way except in one or two lots. He could be passing out a bucket deal like @Dave1290 got!

SC near GSP be on the lookout!

Hi all

I recently received this as a gift.

Yes it is Mike. Had three fourths of it on cassette for a while and the quality transferred to it through my Aiwa deck

Think you can pull the whole lp up from that one.

Scofield has some magical fingers!

Lp has that soft keyboard feel to it.

@dirtmudd

wow that would have been a great New Years Eve show!!

That is the only MJ album that I own and was part of a bulk LP purchase

Think I already featured it a while back

But yes the SQ is very good
