maybe  fake Genesis....

According to Banks, the band didn’t approach former singer Peter Gabriel or guitarist Steve Hackett to be part of the reunion.

Genesis is not Genesis without Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett

Although they were a 3 piece band for a while and went a little mainstream for my liking

We should call this thread "Genesis Thread" from now on...0067.gif

I have the first two solo albums of Peter Garbriel as the first pressing " Label Charisma Records " in 1977 and his second album " Label Virgin Charisma "from 1978.
I heard these two albums more often than my entire Genesis record collection

I have the entire collection of" Supertramp " at home. There is hardly a rock band that fascinates me as much. The lyrics, voices, compositions remain unique and remain unforgettable.                                                                                                             015.gif

We can call it what ever we want..

when the need arrives...

just keep spinning and posting !

Gabriel 2 or scratch.. Some like to say .. It's Peter's most creative .. After leaving Genesis... And the hardest to enjoy..

But most Gabriel fans love it !

Another "pop" vocalist I've mostly enjoyed is Neil Diamond, in particular the Grammy Award winner album "J.L. Seagull"  For some reason this disc really resonates with me, especially the orchestral cuts.  Somewhat classical, somewhat ethereal, but very listenable.

After Selling England By The Pound In the same year 1973 Genesis released a live album

What a great track selection in this album and the SQ is also very good

A1 Watcher Of The Skies
A2 Get 'Em Out By Friday
A3 The Return Of The Giant Hogweed
B1 Musical Box
B2

The Knife

To identity my LP was a little tricky as I had to rely on the etchings on the runout

So my LP is a 1975 UK reissue  - https://www.discogs.com/Genesis-Live/release/3808180

Artist - Genesis

Title - Live
