Talk, it's only talk
Arguments, agreements, advice, answers
Articulate announcements
It's only talk

Talk, it's only talk
Babble, burble, banter, bicker bicker bicker
Brouhaha, balderdash, ballyhoo
It's only talk
Back talk

Talk talk talk, it's only talk
Comments, cliches, commentary, controversy
Chatter, chit-chat, chit-chat, chit-chat
Conversation, contradiction, criticism
It's only talk
Cheap talk

Talk, talk, it's only talk
Debates, discussions
These are words with a D this time
Dialogue, dualogue, diatribe
Dissention, declamation
Double talk, double talk

Talk, talk, it's all talk
Too much talk
Small talk
Talk that trash
Expressions, editorials, expugnations, exclamations, enfadulations
It's all talk
Elephant talk, elephant talk, elephant talk

Many may not have heard of Karla but she was a prolific song writer for many artist years ago. She only had one notable hit, Personally, but she was a good singer in her own right and had a number of albums. More need to check her music out if you like Bonnie Raitt and Linda Ronstadt.

The band played progressive rock, following the style of Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Focus. From the beginning composer and keyboarder Jürgen Fritz dominated the band. The group also included a drummer and a bassist who changed frequently, like drummer Curt Cress, bass player Dieter Petereit, guitarist and bassist Jan Akkerman or Helmut Köllen as well as singer Barry Palmer, who later became singer with Mike Oldfield. In 1974 Triumvirat was on US tour for three months (with Fleetwood Mac) and managed to get the record Illusions on a Double Dimple into the Billboard charts. About the album Old Loves Die Hard, released in 1976, the Kölner Express wrote: "Their LP 'Old Loves Die Hard' brought them gold in Portugal. The enthusiasm in Brazil was even greater. Here they climbed to 4th place in the popularity scale. After Beatles, Yes and Genesis. In 1976 Fritz separated from the rest of the group and from then on only used guest musicians. Due to disputes over the rights to the name, the following album Pompeii was released in 1977 under the band name "New Triumvirat". After two more works from 1978 and 1980 the band history ended, Fritz turned to other projects. At the beginning of the 2000s, there was an unsuccessful attempt to revive the band. From an album The Website Story, completed in 2002, in which Fritz and Cress were joined by Grant Stevens, John Miles and T. M. Stevens,  some demos were presented, but the work itself remained unreleased.

I'm listening to some Bob Dylan now ... the best songwriter ever in my opinion -- yet every cover of a bob Dylan song is better than the original.

His new Album .....

Sittin around listening to this lp...  Geez, soooo good!

The Rhythm of the Heat is based on the experiences of Carl Gustav Jung, who worked with African musicians. In San Jacinto, the fear of the Native Americans being alienated by modern Western society is a central theme. In addition, Shock the Monkey is a contemplation of jealousy and panic. The title is also part of the soundtrack to the film Project X, starring Matthew Broderick. Shock the Monkey can also be heard in the 110th episode of South Park. Lay Your Hands on Me is about self-alienation, which has already been dealt with on earlier albums of Peter Gabriel. Gabriel let himself fall on the outstretched hands of the audience as a show element in the live performance of the title. He thus contributed to the popularization of stage diving. The Family and the Fishing Net takes a look at the gruelling aspects of married life. Wallflower is a piece about the situation of political prisoners and is part of the soundtrack of Alan Parker's Birdy, which Gabriel composed entirely.

Man... you've done it again!

Like Genesis but not like them. A good listen so far 👍

Speaking of sounding like Genesis, or in in my post, sounding like Phil Collins:

Seeing most of the other Albums here, this is pretty recent. The singer is Simon Collins and he just has his fathers voice.

A very nice album. At the age of five, Collins learned to play the drums with the help of his father. Due to the separation of his parents, he moved with his mother to Canada three years later, to the city of Vancouver. There he not only refined his drumming skills, but also learned how to compose and sing. In the following years he played in stylistically different bands.

While you were listening to Sky's first album today, I'm listening to the second. SKY II is also a double album, released in 1980 on the ARIOLA Label, German pressing .

John Williams was already one of the most famous classical guitarists in the 1960s and 1970s. His fellow players were Francis Monkman (keyboard) - previously with Curved Air -, Herbie Flowers (electric bass) and Tristan Fry (drums). These musicians had been working together for several years. Fry was a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. Together with guitarist Kevin Peek they decided to form a rock band in 1978. In 1979 the first album Sky, produced by Tony Clark, was released .Sky played exclusively instrumental rock music. The pieces were mostly based on classical themes or were adaptations of well-known classical pieces. The group's biggest hit was Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565 in 1980; the accompanying album Sky 2 was one of the best-selling albums in the UK that year. The following year Monkman was replaced by Steve Gray. After the LP Cadmium, Williams quit in 1984. But the group continued. In 1987 the album Mozart featured a collaboration with Fry's old ensemble, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields under Sir Neville Marriner. This record became a great success in the USA. This production actually marked the end of Sky, although the group toured occasionally until 1994. Players during this time were Paul Hart (keyboards, guitar), Marc Borroughs (guitar), Richard Durrant (guitar). On the 1985 record, Clare sings Torry. The CD release of the original Sky albums followed in the early 1990s. By the early 1970s, there had already been a band called Sky in the USA. Their singer Doug Fieger was later a member of The Knack.
