Vinyl - Record Spinning

Full Range

Recommended Posts

From the vault LP #7 from over 30
Spinning an album from 1972 from a band that first formed in 1969

A great album that keeps on giving - The album genre is mainly Prog with sensitive folk leanings

But they also play a great cover “ Down By The River “ by Neal Young ( and arguably better than the original)

Another discovery in my crates, it's interesting.

From the manipulated picture on the cover to who knows what inside of it.

Recognized the name from a record by a group of musicians of the era I've got. Searched for it and it wasn't very well received, but I know the first track is alright.

I think you've showcased them before tonight, haven't you? I enjoyed them and they seem familiar!

I have 2 other albums by McKendree Spring, but this one ( and the rest of the LPs I will be featuring ) was hidden / sealed as part a bulk order for a long time and just seen the light of day recently

P.S I like the Al kooper vid

Whew, there's some postin going on in here.  I'm going insane looking for an lp w/a wood block in it that I love.  Thought it was Heart so finished all of theirs and nada.  Now I'm thinking Fleetwood Mac but...  Ugh, I hate that!  Drives me nuts!  lol  Have about 8 new ones to un-zip but they'll wait.

This system is so darn revealing it just amazes me.  Lil Clapton and BB Ridin w/the King right now.  Pictures?  Ha!  Thinking tomorrow is gonna be some Gabriel and the boys or some Crims.  I've got one foot nailed down and spinning in circles actually.  Decisions, decisions!  Thanks for the heads up on the Winwood too Paul.  Just what I needed to see.  I'm hangin like a rusty fish hook!   :)

@Full Range  from BJH I`ve got only the Life Album " Live Tapes " 1978. I find that really good, but could never really build a relationship to the musical direction of the band, just too much cuddly rock

The later output is a little pop rock

Earlier works are better

Try - Gone To Earth and Once Again

Doing CDs tonight. Wife is in the other end of the house, pretty tired. While I'm making some spaghetti sauce for the rest of the week I've been listening to Neil Young's Harvest Moon and the first Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

Got "Twin Sons" and another they are good but since posting a song earlier I've been in a heavier mood

After Black Oak Arkansas opened for everyone here a couple years these guys did it for the next two or three years. Not a problem, their Live LP was just as good as their shows, miss that record!
