Get ready for this challenge: don't touch the volume knob. These old recordings have a wide dynamic range, so there are many loud and quiet passages. We're no longer used to that. Currently listening to Beethoven, from the same period.

Don’t bother with the HHGG movie - It was crapolla in my opinion

Best is still the Radio series as you can use your imagination

Loved Red Dwarf - seen it original and re runs about 20 times

Remember The Cat from Red Dwarf?  He was played by Danny John-Jules, who is now a member of the cast of Death in Paradise, a detective show set on the fictional Caribbean island of Sainte-Marie, actually Guadeloupe.

Danny J-J plays an older police sergeant, who’s still a bit of a playboy.  He thinks he can charm any woman for help or information, and sometimes he can.  The show is pretty formulaic, but it’s still fun, in a gentle way, with no car chases or gunfights.

Send him an email and tell him you know me

Keith Eichmann of KLE cables -- http://kleinnovations.com

We tried a set of his interconnects and SPDIF cable on my system to compare

Keith has a great ear for detail and was very forthcoming in his opinion

In the end we coined a new phrase to sum up everything we heard

We both agreed that the system had a “Superior Layered Harmonic Resolution” - A new term to describe realness in audio

That's a fun show. It didn't continue very long on Netflix in the US. I'll have to find out where I can watch it. Nice to not have really gory and violent series like that. Like Midsummer Murders or Father Brown.

Wayne is a hoot.

The previous sergeant was a French actress, too.  Cute, all three of them.

I'm also surprised that the show is so well-known.
