Vinyl - Record Spinning

Full Range

Recommended Posts

Last week I was quiet busy to built and deliver some audiocables before new year, job is done so far. Than I ordered the second Micro Seiki Tonearm MA 505 MK II as well as the sec. Micro Seiki Arm Board AX 1 . The Tonearm comes from france in first class condition , the arm board is an original , unpacked NoS , get it here from a german Micro Seiki Lover.

Wasn´t cheap ..close to 1,5 K$  smilie_denk_54.gif  and I´ll need more headshells and have to build three new set TT cables as well. Think that I have finished the upgrate till end of january ..maybe a bit earlier.

@Full Range  a friend of mine bought the Sansui AU 717 ...he had him revised , cost were close to 500 € . He told me that he can now really hear the Sansui AU 717 for the first time, the difference between not revised and general revised is so big, he really did not expect.  He said , that´s the best SS he ever owned and had listen to. Think it´s a must to do !

Artist - Andrew Lloyd Webber

Title - Variations

Lloyd-Webber's awful stuff Runs for years and years and years An earthquake hits the theatre But the operetta lingers Then the piano lid comes down And breaks his ******* fingers It's a miracle

Central Scrutinizer: This is the CENTRAL SCRUTINIZER . . . You have just destroyed one model XQJ-37 Nuclear Powered Pan-Sexual Roto-Plooker And you're gonna have to pay for it! So give up, you haven't got a chance.

Don’t think I have read a bad review of the Sansui AU717

And I’m happy for your friend - both he and I are lucky audiophiles

The most important thing in any amp upgrade is component choice

When the technician is ready to start with my amplifier upgrade, I have chosen and will go with ELNA Silmic II

The power supply already has the caps replaced with Panasonic

I didn´t know in which technical condition the AU 717from my friend  has been before. Of course I´ll agree ...they´re State of the Art SS Amps . Elna Silmic ..I got more that 40 new caps and filter elcos in my  upgrated Marantz SACD 11-S3 ...you have my blessing   smilie_op_047.gif

Hi @MicroMara

There is a great French specialist who restores and refurbishes Sansui, his reputation is very high and the packages are very solid. You may be able to contact him if you would like to purchase one of his beautiful restoration, in my opinion he will ship to Germany with no problem. It doesn't have to be in stock, but if you reserve it can give you a superb Sansui SSP that looks like new for many, many years to come. Or you send him a used Sansui bought in Germany and he reassembles it like new.

Good evening one and all, and Happy New Year.   Sorry Pezz, could not do a night of old recorded waltzes and yet another B'oven 9th.   So, with that I am going to do some alternate fresh listening right here in LFMH.   Enjoy the evening everyone.

I have posted in the past that I love ballroom dancing and have many albums with different dance styles in the collection

Nothing better than a good dance 💃 every now and then

So sorry Paul, I was wondering why my message to Pezz was not showing up in RTM!, well, guess I found out, had the wrong tab opened and the message ended up here which was NOT intended. :blush2:  Thanks for responding just the same.  Hope you've all had a lovely New Years celebration with family and friends if at all possible.  I'll stop in again with some vinyl soon.  🍷

The “ Record spinning thread “ is a magical place

It just draws in like minded people here

That’s why on New Years Day you magically arrived here

Have a good one mate

I see that you live in Hong Kong. I was professionally many years in this dream city on the road, mainly in tsim sha tsui, was several times on Victoria Peak  ( what a fantastic view at night over Hong-Kong, or traveled to Shenzhen or Guangzhou. However, this was still at a time when the Chinese had little political control over the city after the handover of the previouse british  colony. Oh... how I loved the food ,the people and the city.  I am shocked at what has changed in the last few years. I think the quality of life is still very high, but democracy and freedom in the sense of our ideas can hardly be said.  I like to think back to that time. All the best

Ahh, not actually Hong Kong.

I’m in the USA in zip code 28777.

The location in my profile is a reference to one of the franchised burbclaves in the book Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson.

I’ve watched a number of street photographer videos from Hong Kong over the years and it seems like a magnificent city to visit if only the mainland govt wasn’t so heavy handed nowadays.

cheers,

Josh.
